Your key tasks Define, drive and document a service blueprint in the area of Securities & Trading Requirement analysis and creation of specifications together with software developers, partners and customers Supporting developers during implementation Acting as the contact person concerning functional questions Supporting consulting projects, project implementations and sales workshops Follow and understand the end-to-end solution, including the know-how on banking and backend solution Strong experience of working within securities and trading, preferably in the banking field Experience as business analyst or similar role in the software industry Modelling know-how and/or customization experience of the Avaloq Core Banking solution in the securities and trading service area You are an open-minded, team-oriented, and communicative personality who is eager to learn and to take on new challenges Professional communication skills in English and strong analytical abilities and high-quality awareness with a structured and autonomous approach to work Ability to understand, abstract, and specify banking processes and requirements It would be beneficial if you have: University or FH degree in banking / economics or equivalent experience (e.g. chartered accountant, expert in Accounting and Controlling) We realize that managing work life balance is a challenge we all face in our daily lives and in order to support with this we are pleased to offer hybrid and flexible working for most of our Avaloqers to maintain work life balance and still continue our fantastic Avaloq culture in our global offices. The Transversal Capabilities Domain manages the following areas: Object Modeling, Technical Application Security, Financial Data Feed and Global Batch Team. Your key tasks Analyze clients’ business requirements, propose and implement technical solutions in Avaloq environment. Understand Avaloq data, Kernel Layer Business Objects, Workflow and Rules. Parameterise and test new functionalities through Avaloq Scripting. Present technical solutions in line with clients ‘needs, data architecture, existing application code and security principles. Supporting the Transversal Capabilities Domain in implementing, running and maintaining the Sensitive Data Discovery product. Solid practical experience of the full development life cycle, including parameterization activities using Avaloq Script, ICE, Toad, SQL or PL-SQL. Practical experience in Avaloq Technical Application Security and/or Object Modelling. Foundation knowledge on designing, implementing and configuring new operations in core objects as person, business partner, container, position, money account, asset, country. It would be a real bonus if you have Experience in managing third party supplier and/or external providers. Minimum 2 years’ experience as Avaloq technical business analyst. A bit about the role A great opportunity to join Avaloq Core Platform Division as a Software Engineer for Payment & Custody domain. The ACP division is dedicated to building on our solid 25+ year reputation of delivering a streamlined core banking solution allowing banks and wealth managers to optimally serve their customers. We want to accelerate client requests that enhance our product and develop a clear roadmap for the Avaloq Core Platform. We want to strengthen the focus of our teams and enable efficiencies while retaining their cross-collaboration abilities. Your key tasks Closely collaborate with the Product Owner, Business Analysts and other Software Engineers. Design, develop and maintain thought-out solutions within the team’s responsibility. Improve and optimize existing functionalities. Develop and maintain automated tests. Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise. Work with colleagues from different locations and cultures. Participate in Agile practices and ceremonies and working according to the Agile principles. A bit about you University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of relevant software development experience. Proven practical experience in software engineering focusing on relational databases (Oracle PL/SQL, Postgres, MySQL). Good understanding of object data modelling. Eager to learn and understand the business needs to provide clean designs and high-quality code. Strong conceptual and analytical mind with a structured and autonomous approach to work on complex technical and business questions. Passion for software development and an interest in the banking / finance industry. Fluency in English. It would be a real bonus if you have Experience in Avaloq Technologies. Previous experience on the banking business. Experience in working with Agile methodologies. Italian language skills.
